About Rio Grande County Criminal History

Rio Grande County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff, Rio Grande Combined Court, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Colorado corrections system, and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry. This private reference site organizes the verified official routes so a reader can identify the proper custodian before making a request.

Why We Built This Site

Colorado provides several public access routes, but each answers a different question. The Rio Grande Sheriff handles county custody and its own law-enforcement records. Rio Grande Combined Court keeps filed charges and dispositions. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation maintains statewide criminal-history information, while CDOC and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry cover separate subjects. We organize the official contacts, portals, request steps, and documented fees without combining those records into a new database.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Colorado court, sheriff, police department, town, or state agency. Our role has firm limits:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file sealing petitions, records requests, or other paperwork for you
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Sheriff, Rio Grande Combined Court, or the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes. They operate their own services, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We neither set the provider's charges nor determine what its search returns.
